staged capture

So it turns out Saddam's capture really was staged. It seems that he did put up a fight and wasn't actually "cowering in a hole" like the media said. What's most interesting to me about this is that there are actually military production teams whose sole purpose is to re-enact the official story. It really makes you wonder what the truth is behind every "victory".

UPDATE The Pentagon is denying this story completely.

Author's Note: How awsome is it that I posted about this yesterday and the Pentagon is denying it today? That makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

This was pretty big news yesterday. Also, there have been a lot of questions not of the marine himself (of which no one seems to be able to find him listed in the UCMJ), but many of his details are incorrect (or at least not known by the public to be true).

Big news on the web anyway, I didn't see anything about it in the mainstream media. As far as the marine goes, records can be destroyed. It doesn't really matter to me if the story is true or not, only that it exists. It wouldn't surprise me if it was true and really it's not that big of a deal. Afterall they really did capture Saddam and the official 'cowering in a hole' story was successfull in energizing the rah rah flagwaivers.
