"You must therefore each descend in turn and live with your fellows in the cave and get used to seeing in the dark; once you get used to it you will see a thousand times better than they do and will distinguish the various shadows, and know what they are shadows of, because you have seen the truth about things admirable and just and good."

Is that what we're doing now? Are we being led back into the cave to tell our fellows about the shadows? Of course. These words will always be true. The community of fellows is what changes and grows. We cannot let those who wish to keep us in the dark control our notions of what is true. They believe knowledge is sacred and should be controlled. I think it should be liberated.
